taken ill, normality's in demand
eyes on the screen while we're holding our nerve
in quarantine we're flattening the curve
our new life of never leaving home
our old ones are indefinitely postponed
victims grow wearier
while their families become tearier
there's mass hysteria
a century of outbreaks pale, inferior
but a positive we can take
it's giving the planet a much needed break
they should make
some restrictions permanent for everyone's sake
